Rotterdam, NY – First New York Federal Credit Union is excited to announce the relocation of its Rotterdam branch to a new, convenient stand-alone location. In late April 2025, the branch will move from its current address at 1879 Altamont Avenue to 3085 Carman Road. The branch will sit adjacent to the high-traffic Curry Road/Carman Road/Hamburg Street roundabout. The Altamont Avenue location originally opened in August 2005.

“We are thrilled to be moving to a new location that offers increased visibility and accessibility for our members,” said Lucy Halstead, President and CEO. “This move reflects our commitment to providing exceptional service and innovative financial solutions to the Rotterdam community.”

In line with First New York’s approach to branch design, the new space will allow for a blend of expert personal service and leading-edge technology. Members can expect to receive personalized financial advice and education as well as conduct transactions, open accounts, and apply for loans. The branch will also include interior Interactive Teller Machine (ITM) kiosks and a 24/7/365 drive-up ITM.

The new location is just 1.6 miles from the current branch, which allows for continuity of service despite the move. Additionally, members accustomed to accessing services in the heart of Rotterdam can continue to utilize First New York’s drive-up ITM kiosk at the WellNow on Altamont Avenue. The ITM location is also only 1.6 miles from the new Carman Road location.
