First New York’s KIDS Banking program makes it easy for kids and teens to start banking. All you need is $2* to open a KIDS Savings account for your minor. Once enrolled, your minor will have access to exclusive KIDS Banking events and contests. If your child is in a participating school, they’ll have additional in-school banking rewards.**

As a proud partner of schools across the Capital Region, we’re able to offer our KIDS Banking Program during the school day! Here, are some of the highlights of our in-school program.
• Bank In-School: Children can open a KIDS Savings account or deposit money.
• Prize Parties: All school bankers making a deposit receive a prize on Prize Party Days!
• PTO/PTA Partnership: First New York donates to your Parent organization based on the number of new accounts opened up to $1,000*****

First New York awards scholarships annually to students meeting the following criteria:
• Member in good standing at First New York FCU
• Graduating High School Senior
• Planning to attend an accredited two-year or four-year college
• An active volunteer and/or active in their community

Our E-Z Access Visa® Debit Card gives young adults the chance to start spending. It’s designed to help kids learn positive financial habits while giving parents control. We’ve specifically created built-in protections to prevent overspending, block transactions, and monitor activity. Check out the debit card features available to our KIDS Bankers (age 13+)!
