Does the money stay on hold until the Recipient accepts the money?

Can a payment be cancelled?

Yes, you can cancel the payment as long as the Recipient has not accepted it yet.

What if the Recipient enters the wrong account number?

If the Recipient entered an incorrect account number, the transaction will fail. The funds are returned to the Sender’s account 3-4 business days after they are sent back from the receiving financial institution.
