
First New York’s 2022 $1,000 Scholarship Winners
We’re excited to announce the four winners of this year’s $1,000 First New York scholarship.
Our recipients have shown exceptional academic merit and community involvement.
Let Us Introduce You to Our Scholarship Winners:
Danielle Chichester, Middleburgh Junior/Senior High School
They have earned their advanced regents and regent’s diploma. Danielle actively participates in the National Honor Society and volunteers as a firefighter and EMT in-training.
Kalin Oelkers, Bethlehem Central High School
They have completed nine AP-level courses while working and volunteering at Welcome Table, a community center for the unhoused.
Vail Perry, Mohonasen High School
They have earned an associate’s degree on a full scholarship from SUNY Schenectady County Community College. They co-founded the non-profit Flannels for Fowler Foundation.
Kiley Lynn Scholz, Academy of the Holy Names
They are a member of the National Honor Society and achieved High Honor Roll. Kiley has volunteered at the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern since 2016.
