2025 Scholarship Program

We are no longer accepting applications for the 2025 First New York Scholarship Program.
In 2025, we increased the four winners’ dollar amounts from $1,000 to $2,500! One of the scholarships is in memory of Jennie Pennington, a long-time board member and educator.
The checks will be presented in-person at our Annual Meeting in April of 2025.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be a First New York member in good standing
- Be a graduating high school senior
- Plan to attend an accredited two-year or four-year college
- Be an active volunteer and/or active in their community
- Submit a 250-word essay answering the question: “How would the First New York Scholarship benefit you in pursuing your college career?”
- Submit a copy of your high school transcript
Deadline for scholarship entries was 3/14/2025, and the winners will be announced on 4/18/2025. Winners will be honored at our Annual Meeting on April 22, 2025, where they will receive their scholarship checks.
