What is an E-Statement?
An e-statement is the electronic version of your account statements. You typically receive a bank statement every month that details your checking or savings account activity. If you’ve not opted into e-statements, you’ll usually receive these paper statements through the mail. Otherwise, your electronic statement will be sent to your online account and possibly your email.
Just like a paper bank statement, your electronic bank statement will include your account balances, account numbers, statement period, or any additional account holder information. For example, if you have a checking account through your financial institution, your e-statement will document your account transfers, spending habits, and other account activity. You can easily review your banking statements by downloading your statements online.
If you want to learn more about e-statements and their main benefits, I suggest you read our “What is an E-Statement” article. Now, let’s cover step by step how you can set up your First New York E-Statements.
