Rotterdam, NY – First New York Federal Credit Union is excited to announce a ribbon cutting for its newly relocated Rotterdam branch at 3085 Carman Road.
The ribbon cutting will take place this Friday, September 26, 2025, at 9:00 AM.
The branch sits adjacent to the high-traffic Curry Road/Carman Road/Hamburg Street roundabout. The previous location, on Altamont Avenue, originally opened in August 2005.
“We look forward to shining a light on our newest location,” said Lucy Halstead, President and CEO. “The new Rotterdam location has been embraced by our members and the community. We’re proud to continue our service to Rotterdam.”
In line with First New York’s approach to branch design, the new space is a blend of expert personal service and leading-edge technology. Members receive personalized financial advice and education as well as conduct transactions, open accounts, and apply for loans. The branch also includes two interior Interactive Teller Machine (ITM) kiosks, a coin counting machine and a 24/7/365 drive-up ITM.
The new location is just 1.6 miles from the previous location on Altamont Avenue, allowing for continuity of service despite the move. Additionally, members accustomed to accessing services in the heart of Rotterdam have continued utilizing First New York’s drive-up ITM kiosk at the WellNow on Altamont Avenue. The ITM location is also only 1.6 miles from the new Carman Road location.
